Engineering Archaeological Services Ltd was formed in 1993 by John Price and Ian Brooks. After many changes of personnel, the company is now run by Dr Ian Brooks MCIfA, FSA who has over 30 years of archaeological experience.
We are a small independent archaeological consultancy based in North Wales dedicated to giving a professional and affordable archaeological service. Although based in North Wales we have worked throughout England and Wales with projects from the Isle of Wight to Hadrian’s Wall.
We carry out a wide range of fieldwork including landscape surveys, geophysical surveys, evaluations and watching briefs. In addition we have a particular specialisation in the analysis of flint artefacts. We have also worked in collaboration with other small archaeological consultancies in order to widen our capabilities. We regularly work with Govannon Consultancy on industrial and post-medieval sites in North Wales. We have also provided specialist survey tuition for Trysor on a community project in South Wales.
